Hallonbåtar Boats

Much of Sweden borders the Baltic Sea, so there is a strong tradition of sailing, especially in the summer—and so it stands to reason that one of Konfektyrfabriken’s oldest candies is the boat gummy. They were first introduced in 1928, although the raspberry-flavored edition is a newer creation. The varied shapes of some of these gummies have a fascinating history; a man named Jerrefeldt was hired as a factory worker in the 20s when it was discovered he had amazing artistic skills. He drew the sketches that would become the molds for gummy tools, animals, and vehicles.
