In Colombia, a potato-like root veggie known as cassava is a staple of local cuisine. For example: super-popular, freshly baked balls of cheesy bread known as pan de yuca are made with cassava flour. And so is their snack equivalent: a crispier cheesy snack version made with cassava that’s a cornerstone of childhood in Colombia. While it’s very traditional, you will have to assess for yourself if this is a type of Yum that’s “I guess you had to grow up with it” or a “universal” one!
