Schluckwerder annually produces over 10,000 tons of their delicious marzipan; while we’re not sure we could eat ALL of that, we’d definitely make a significant dent! The sweetness of this marzipan, made with almonds and shaped into loaves, is offset by the richness of the dark chocolate coating, working together beautifully to create a balanced dessert. Germany has its own set of ‘marzipan laws’ that ensure the result is a German marzipan, one that focuses on the richness of the almonds in the paste instead of adding too much sugar.

Great almond flavor in the filling, not too sweet, with just the texture you’d expect. The bar is on the smaller side, about a thumb’s width.
