All Las Sevillana candies are hand-crafted, passing through the hands of many women before they’re in front of you, ready to eat. Cajeta, a goat’s milk caramel, is rich, creamy, and tangy, with complex flavors due to its unconventional ingredient of goat’s milk. It was first created by accident, when a woman in Celaya burnt some goat’s milk and sugar in the 1810s, inadvertently creating the rich, sticky caramel. These cookies are wafer-thin and layered with a sweet caramel, perfect for enjoying alongside a hot spiced drink similar to what the lady was making in Celaya all those years ago!
