Guide To Bali

My name is India Aluwihare. I'm 25 years old living in London with my Balinese father and Irish mother. When I turned 19, I decided to travel back to Bali to reconnect with my roots and explore it from a new perspective. I fell in love with the island all over again and explored nearby islands too. I’ll take you to my favorite spots!
Prambanan Temple, Jogjakarta, Central Java
This is one of many ancient Hindu temples in Indonesia, built during the Mataram Kingdom in the 10th century. A whole complex of temples with this intricate architecture can be found around Jogjakarta.

Pura Tirta Empul, Bali

This Hindu temple known for it's healing rituals. Visitors flock here for a cleansing ritual with holy temple water. The energy here is very strong, serene, and mystical. It’s a fascinating look into the rich Balinese culture!
Kintamani, Bali
Bali isn’t just beaches, the mountains and volcanoes in Bali are equally breathtaking! Away from the crowds on cooler hilly weather, perfect for a little down time from the busy parts of Bali.

Mount Bromo, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park

One of the most stunning (active) volcanoes in Indonesia, located in East Java. It’s popular to drive up the mountains to catch the sunset. Stunning, right? Bring a jacket—it gets cold up there!
Uluwatu, Bali
This is the southernmost tip of the island, filled with stunning cliffs and beautiful beaches. The water down here is much clearer than in other popular beaches in Bali. It’s the perfect place to watch the sun set!

Guide To Jakarta

Halo! My name is Arrafi, Rafi for short. I am an Indonesian creator based in Jakarta and Amsterdam. Growing up in Jakarta, I'm very used to the hustle and bustle. Jakarta's also very laid back, people are warm and welcoming, and our food scene is the heart and soul of the city. Let me show you around!
Gelora Bung Karno Stadium
A huge sporting complex completed in the 1960s and recently revitalized. It’s the center for many afternoon runs, sports classes, and football matches. It’s good way to do what the locals do—stay active!

ROH Gallery

One of many stunning galleries in Jakarta that hosts both local and international artists. Jakarta has so many art spaces and galleries worth checking out!
Monumen Nasional (Monas)
This monument serves as a symbol of freedom and power for Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, and is one of the city’s main tourist attractions.

Blok M

The city’s main entertainment hub, a complex of shops, food, cafes, and bars. People come at any time of the day, but it’s busiest during the weekends. This used to be Jakarta's Little Tokyo—it was left abandoned for a long time until it got revamped into one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city.
Glodok, Chinatown
This historic Chinese neighborhood dates back to colonial times. It’s still a hub for markets, food and trade; perfect for culinary adventures. It’s located just adjacent to the old town.

Hutan Kota Jakarta

This big city park is located in the city center. It’s surrounded with skyscrapers and provides an open space for people to gather and picnic—even in the heat!
Bundaran HI
This is the massive roundabout in Jakarta's main avenue. It serves as a way to 'welcome' guests into Jakarta.

Sudirman Central Business District

The city comes alive with the night lights!
Dutch Old Town
Jakarta has a lot of Dutch influences and architecture from colonial times. Jakarta is chaotic, but you can find moments of calm!

Urban Forest Cipete

A lot of open air parks and compounds have opened in the city, as a new way of hanging out instead of being stuck in a stuffy mall.
